Welcome to Garioch art group. We’re a group of artists who meet at Inverurie Community Campus on a Thursday night. Although there is no formal teaching we offer a space where folks can spend some time doing art. It’s an opportunity to meet others who share the same interest. Throughout the pandemic we were only meeting on Zoom but we’ve now secured a studio in the school art department. It’s large and bright with room to spread out. Our group ranges in experience and styles from those who have been painting for years to those who have only recently picked up a paintbrush, pencil, iPad or whatever.
Come on, what are you waiting for?
We’re keen to welcome new members and are open to all. You don’t need any experience, just a desire to be creative. If you want to drop in to see if you’d like to get involved, please email info@gariochartgroup.org.uk
We all have different styles and work using a range of different media. There are those who work in oils or acrylic and paint anything from landscapes to still life or portraits. Others prefer to capture the world using watercolours. Of course there are many of us who prefer mixed media and work using everything from charcoal to acrylic paint.
We meet on a Thursday evening between 7.00 and 9.30pm at the Inverurie Community Campus, AB51 3ZQ
The art group provides no formal tuition although we endeavour to have occasional speakers, a weekend workshop or two and, weather permitting, some outdoor painting in the summer.
We welcome anyone who is interested in being creative.
